As you will be aware, this evening the Government have updated their advice on Covid 19. As a result SNHAC will, like many other clubs, be suspending all our activities with immediate effect. This will include all training sessions on Mondays, Tuesdays Thursdays and Sundays. Following England Athletics' announcement this morning (17th March) this will be until at least the start of May although it may well be necessary to extend this further. This is a highly unusual step but it is clear that in the current circumstances we have a responsibility to ensure that we do all we can to reduce the risk to all of our volunteers, members and parents. We will of course keep everyone updated in relation to both training and competition through the website and Facebook page.

Sunday 15th March 2020

Following EA and Government Guidelines SNHAC will currently continue training as normal. However, as circumstances are changing quickly and new guidelines being brought in this will be reviewed daily. Please check the club’s Facebook page and website before each training session.

Should any of our coaches have to self- isolate due to ill-health, age or underlying health conditions we will endeavour to amalgamate groups if practical but it may be necessary to cancel sessions for groups at short notice.

If any athlete feels that due to an underlying health condition (severe asthma etc) they do not wish to attend training they should contact their coach to see if there is training that can be completed away from the club.

The Club has a duty to protect all our athletes, families and volunteers so may we remind all members that they must not train or compete for at least 7 days from the onset of any symptoms of the virus and that parents/family members should not be dropping off or picking up if they are unwell.

We are working with SBC and our volunteers to ensure the facility is cleaned regularly. We will also not be using the kitchen or hall for the foreseeable future to protect those who attend or run Little Learners.

Obviously this is a rapidly changing situation and it would appear likely that further changes may occur at any time.

We are happy to announce that the new Stevenage and North Herts Athletics Club website is now live! Here you will be able to catch up with the latest news, view our upcoming fixtures, learn more about the club and membership, view our photo gallery, download and complete application forms and more... Of course over the coming months, we will be adding additional pages and photographs also.

We would also like to thank the team from A1 German Car & Bike Specialists (Independent BMW, Mercedes, Audi, VW Service and Parts Centre in Stevenage) who have sponsored the new website build.
